55+ Living Redefined

My apartment is perfect. The amenities are perfect for me. The grounds are beautiful and appropriate for the Southwest climate. The garden area has brought joy to us. The garage is very important to me. The residents are by and large friendly and I have made many new friends. I love the Affinity concept of independent living for seniors. In January 2018, another resident and I organized a resident club. One of the reasons was that we wanted a residents’ directory, which Affinity couldn’t provide due to privacy issues. We also wanted to promote a sense of community here. The club has steadily increased in membership (no dues). Our directory is now 4 pages and we consistently have about 40 residents who attend our monthly meeting. The name of our club is ¿Qué Pasa?—What’s Happening. I was very nervous this past July when the entire front office had to be replaced, as you might imagine. However, it was a blessing in disguise! I want you to know that Bobbie, Karen, Jennica and Jason have far exceeded my expectations. I truly believe that having them come to Affinity was just what we needed. As an aside, Jeremy (Maintenance) has been here since the beginning and he is awesome! I’m so happy that he is still here.
